PHUKET / LANGKAWI Phuket to Langkawi (Malaysia) & everything in between
A lovely journey down through the more remote and unspoiled Thai islands to the south. We stop off at the famous Phi Phi island then sail east to Ko Ngai/ Ko Muk and swim through an 80 m tunnel to discover a hidden beach in the middle of the island.....The Emerald Cave. Then we take you to the beautiful twin islands of Rok Nok and Rok Nai and visit several stunning islands en-route to the wonderful Butang islands (8-10 days depending on your chosen itinerary). The trip culminates in a spectacular approach to the mountainous region on the N.W. side of Langkawi Island and our entrance into the picturesque Talaga Harbour. The international airport is just a short hop from Talaga harbour. Flight connections, visa on arrival and other formalities on this trip are straightforward and simple both ways. Note : We can also arrange domestic circle routes to fit your time frame which generally start and end in Phuket but also take in many of the islands offered on the international route. These trips have a duration of around 6-7 days or can be extended to take in more destinations. Some of these islands on our circle routes are featured in the Utube links on the home page. BURMA & THE MERGUI ARCHIPELAGO
There are around 800 beautiful islands in this area with only a small handful of Moken Sea Gypsy settlements. These islands are very remote and well off the tourist circuit due to their isolation. We offer you the opportunity to travel though some of them for a totally unique experience. Beautiful beaches, crystal clear waters and an abundance of marine life and unspoilt nature will keep you enthralled during this adventure. Expeditions to this area normally require 8-10 days. Indonesia Sabang and the western islands This group of islands are a short ferry ride from Banda Ache and lie to the N.W. of Sumatra. Exceptionally clear water and really fantastic reefs with a huge variety of coral and marine life make this a world class destination. The only footprints in these deserted beautiful white sand beaches will be yours. Trips to this area require a minimum of 8 days. General Notes : When to go Our high season starts on November 1st and by mid month the winds are normally fairly set in from the NE and generally in the 15-20 knot range providing excellent sailing conditions. From March to April the winds are easing off and by May / June are transitioning around to come out of the SW. Although the term 'monsoon' gives the impression of continual heavy rains this is not the case in this part of the world. It is however more variable and alternates between rainy spells and sunny clear conditions. The only months best avoided are September and October where the weather is more unpredictable. Temperatures range from around 30 c to 24 c. |
